I tried wow because the guild I hang with on ffxiv started there. I went in and it was ok to start with. I ended up at a pursuit that took me into a dungeon and I had to stop as I had to lfg to get to it, and when I got the guild to join they were too over levelled and one shot everything.

Ffxiv syncs everyone to the dungeon level and has a quick four celebration dungeon finder/queue system, which can be such a great quality of life thing that it is a cinch to solo/group when and as you want.

Mahbe wow does this today, but it was such an supervision back once I tried it, like it is such an obvious point to include to ensure everyone can hit the same story beats.

This is why WoW is becoming so shitty and getting as poor as a money grab as everything else, such as EA, with"micro"transactions for every tiny thing with absolutely horrible and soulless content.
