The Super Bowl presentation will finally change: After decades of videos with pointed footage showing how the big Super Bowl trophy presentation hasn't changed much, Madden 22 will be altering the way things are presented this year. These changes will be accompanied with updates to the broadcasting package that include flyovers, as well as the big American flag.

Superfans will be at the venue. In Madden 12, close-up shots of the crowd were a key aspect of the game's design. They were removed when the PS4 came out and the Xbox One arrived. The funny thing is that crowd close-ups were back in Madden 21 and Madden 22 adds them into the game by adding "Superfans" cosplaying, or cosplaying football fans that act as an official team Mascot. While there are plenty of Superfans in the real world, Fireman Ed will not take the lead in the JETS cheers in Madden 22. EA believes that the cost of locating them and including their likenesses in the game would be too expensive.

Face of Franchise is back: Yes, Face of Franchise is returning. While it's not brand the first time, it's an effective opportunity to tell a unique story. The "United We Rise" version of this year's game will be out. Face of the Franchise is an intriguing story mode. However, it has been criticized for its slackness and lack of depth over the last two years. Graddy says that the version next year will be improved. "There were enough comments from our reviewers and fans that they wanted more out of the story, and more of the development. We believe that what we'll release over the next few weeks will be a reflection of some of that feedback. It's likely to be a stronger Face of the Franchise."
