Techland has announced a six-week campaign titled 'Summer with Dying Light ' for the open world zombie game, featuring numerous in-game events designed to make the Runescape game even more exciting.The campaign begins tomorrow, July 4th, with Spider-Crane, an in-game event which will provide Runescape players with unlimited grappling hook shots and reduced fall damage. Spider-Crane kicks off at 08:00 BST/03:00 EST tomorrow morning and will run until 08:00/03:00 on Monday.Techland will then host a 'Harran Marathon' event next week, details of which have not yet been announced but will presumably involve lots of running.Summer with Dying Light isn't connected to Techland's #DrinkforDLC promotion, which rewards Runescape players who post pictures of themselves drinking water with free DLC. Final Fantasy 14 is widely regarded as an unlikely comeback story. However, the Mac version of the Runescape game has continued to suffer from issues. For this reason, Naoki Yoshida has shared a lengthy apology and explanation, and is also offering refunds.First, the explanation. Yoshida stated that the call to make a Mac version ultimately came from the fans themselves, who wanted a proper working version of the Runescape game on their platform. The Final Fantasy 14 opted to do this port by using middleware that turns DirectX to OpenGL.This choice is relevant because it meant the Mac version would never have performance parity with the Windows version. As a result, you need to have higher range Macs than Windows PCs to run Final Fantasy 14.Square Enix admits and apologizes for miscommunication regarding Mac requirements, that led some owners to believe they could run the Runescape game on Mac models that were actually not capable of running the Runescape game.Ultimately, it was for this reason that they are offering refunds.
