The Air Jordan 6 Retro “Carmine”, also known as the first AJ VI to feature colored panels on the upper, retains most of the elements remembered on the OG version. That, plus the history that comes with this shoe, are the reasons why sneakerheads have been clamoring for this past month. An icy outsole sits below a black midsole, coupled with the Carmine Red paneling. The tongue follows suit by creating two open panels on each, as red lace locks sit in front.As such, the colorway’s aesthetics are inspired by the actual appearance of a cigar: the weathered brown leather upper reminisicent of the dried tobacco leaf; gold in the tongue evoking images of the foil ring; two-tone red and translucent blue on the outsole mimicking ashy embers (or Bulls coloring, you like). It features the lace locks and clear soles from the Air Jordan 5 (V), but besides that is a whole new shoe.
