The Jordan Brand has finally decided to release this fresh colourway this coming weekend!This edition features a white-based upper part with university blue hints, including the toe box, and black hints on tongue area. It also has black lining and laces, and was finished off with white midsole and icy blue translucent outsole. It also sports a white Jumpman logo and black "XXX" logo on the outsole.The Air Jordan 30 "University Blue" also has reflective material, which helped Jordan Brand create a Jumpman logo on the toe box that is only visible at some angles. North Carolina was also represented by a blue dot on the global-themed tongue.
It is obvious that New Jordans will not be able to get a clear, detailed and proper look at the Air Jordan 30 until the next couple of days. Currently, there is a significant amount of hype surrounding the 30th installment in the Air Jordan series, so it is not wrong to assume that leaked photos of the latest signature Air Jordan model would pop up online way before the silhouette was officially unveiled. In fact, that is what has actually happened. Drawing initial inspiration from a photo of MJ at the 1988 Dunk Contest, Tinker altered the photos character into a galactic figure known as “Mister Cosmos” (pictured in gallery below) and based the AJXXX on a space age aesthetic. Looking to footwear designer Mark Smith for an expansion to the silhouette, the thirtieth signature Air Jordan was a team effort with Nike contributing its renowned Flyknit material to the Jacquard upper. A smooth toe piece fashioned by Mark Smith using a new printing technique offers unparalleled breathability.For the first time, Jordan combined Nike’s Flyknit technology, an engineered yarn, into woven construction, giving the upper of the Jordan XXX a dual-engineered construction focused on lightweight support. The jacquard construction, a weaving technique, created an argyle pattern across much of the upper for an obvious nod to Jordan’s University of North Carolina roots.
